Abstract
This book reviews the present understanding of subjects related to the pediatric glaucomas. Included are chapters on embryology, normal anatomy, classification of glaucoma, diagnosis, treatment of congenital glaucoma, and other subjects. Each chapter is supported by a full bibliography that should prove useful to ophthalmologists and others beginning an investigation in any of these areas. The experienced ophthalmologist may find that this book provides very little new information to assist him in the understanding and treatment of the less frequent types of pediatric glaucoma. Most subjects are presented in great detail; this may make this book helpful as a reference source but less useful as an introduction to the pediatric glaucomas. Dr. Kwitko's fine book successfully reviews the background and the present understanding of the pediatric glaucomas. It may also remind the reader that since Barkan's revival of the goniotomy for the treatment of infantile glaucoma, we have not come
