Abstract

The paper presents problems related to congenital childhood glaucoma. The aetiology of the disease, symptoms and clinical picture are discussed. Diagnosis of congenital glaucoma in infants and children is performed under general anesthesia. Treatment of primary congenital glaucoma is mainly surgical. Children with congenital glaucoma require constant, systematic ophthalmic care and genetic counseling.
