Abstract

Recognition of inflential geopolitical factors as conditions, but also as direct and indirect means applicable within that competition is one of the essential factors for adapting to modern circumstances and survival, especially of small states. Namely, it is natural and logical that the size and strength of the state have a key role in determining its potential for the protection of vital values and the realization of national interests. "Small states" are limited to a reactive approach in formulating a strategy, ie their strategy is a response to changes in the environment that have already occurred (or are certain). In this regard, faced with numerous challenges on the one hand and limited power on the other, small states are almost constantly in a security dilemma consisting of two elements: influence and autonomy. In the research we will use methods of analysis, synthesis, hypothetical-deductive method, analysis of document content and comparative method.
