Compact orientable generic minimal submanifolds of a complex projective space with flat normal connection are studied. Using integral formulas for the second fundamental form, we give a theorem which characterizes the geodesic minimal hypersphere among compact orientable generic minimal submanifolds of CP m with flat normal connection.
