Abstract

Abstract : Digital signal processing techniques expand the capabilities of modern radars. The central algorithm of radar signal processing is the fast Fourier transform (FFT). However, each radar has several modes and in most cases, environmental factors such as noise and clutter background are not completely understood. For this reason, flexibility of the signal processor is desirable. A method of gaining this flexibility is via general purpose (i.e., programmable) digital signal processing computer structures. In this note, a variety of such structures, both programmable, yet suitable for high speed FFT, are expanded.
