Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to determine the relationship between gross domestic product (GDP), unemployment, exports and productivity at the regional level. In the study, data from 26 level 2 regions covering the years 2014-2019 were used. In the econometric analysis, first of all, the stationarity analysis of the variables used in the model was performed. Granger causality analysis was used because the series were equally stationary. According to the empirical results of the model, regionally, unilateral causality from exports to unemployment and GDP; unilateral causality from unemployment to exports and productivity; it has been found that there is a bidirectional causality relationship between productivity and GDP and exports.
