Abstract
Abstract A trichobezoar is a collection or accumulation of hair (tricho) in the cavity of the stomach. It is mostly seen in young females who have underlying psychological illnesses leading to hair-eating habits (trichophagia). It is non-digestible to the gastric juices and enzymes and poses a threat to the individual if persists for a long time. We report a case of a 13-year-old girl who presented with gastric trichobezoar with Rapunzel syndrome successfully managed with open surgery and psychiatric follow-up.
