Abstract
The possibility of separating the organometallic compounds of group IV B containing bonds between two heteroatoms, silicon, germanium and tin chalcogenides as well as heterocyclic compounds with silicon atoms in the ring has been studied by gas solid and gas liquid chromatographic methods. Gas adsorption chromatography on a graphitized thermal carbon black has been found to provide higher selectivity in comparison with gas liquid chromatography in separating the organometallic compounds of group IV B especially of the sterically hindered siliconcontaining (o-, p-) isomers of phenol derivatives. Gas adsorption chromatography on a hydroxylated Silochrom surface allows the estimation of the electron density redistribution in the thiophene ring as a result of introducing silicon-containing, CH3 and Cl subsituents into position 2.
