Abstract

The on-screen study aims to identify competitive gains in interorganizational relationships between entrepreneurs associated with SINDICAB - Union of Hairdressers and Autonomous Similar in the State of Sergipe. The methodology used has a qualitative exploratory and descriptive nature, constituting a case study. Data were collected from entrepreneurs linked to the union through semi-structured interviews and documents available for research. The occurrence of competitive gains indicated in the network theory described by Balestrin and Verschoore (2008) was analyzed. As conclusive results, it can be stated that the individual and collective benefits obtained in the interorganizational relations in the union sphere are based above all on the developed social relations. Competitive gains could be evidenced in a significant portion of the relationships between entrepreneurs in their joint actions provided by union membership.
