Abstract
Interorganizational relations are the main subject of analysis in this article. The authors analyze the need and preconditions for the formation of interorganizational business relations in tourism sector, their advantages (pros) and disadvantages (cons). Interorganizational business relations in tourism sector, like in any other economic sector, tend to form for various reasons; however, the main factor that stimulates their formation is the long-term goal to increase added-value, to grant the efficiency of cooperation and competitiveness potential through the realization of interorganizational obligations. The aim of this study is to analyze the preconditions for the formation of interorganizational relations. The following goals have been set in order to achieve the aim of the study: 1) to analyze the need and conditions for the formation of interorganizational business relations; 2) to analyze the peculiarities of the formation and development of interorganizational business relations; 3) to systematize the advantages, disadvantages, and risks of interorganizational business relations in tourism sector. The methods of research: scientific literature analysis (comparative, systematical and logical), and synthesis. The research carried out by the authors of this article proposes the conclusion that the basis for the formation of interorganizational business relations is trust and individual benefits for the members of interorganizational consolidations. These benefits are determined by multi-exchange of information, competencies and services. The advantages and disadvantages of interorganizational business relations are not always obvious: sometimes it takes much time to reveal their benefits, while their disadvantages appear at once. It must be emphasized, however, that the majority of those problems and disadvantages arise as a result of inability of organizations to efficiently form, operate and modify the networks of interorganizational business relations. If the aforementioned obstacles were removed, the benefits of interorganizational business relations would exceed their creation and operation costs.
