Abstract

Latah is a type of psychogenic disorder that is part of a language disorder, usually referred to as echolalia, which is the act of parroting or imitating what other people say or repeating the same utterance when in certain situations. Speeches that include talkative are not all related to dirty words or those that are dirty. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of speech and the factors that cause the emergence of psychogenic disorders of the talkative type in the observed objects. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The source of data was obtained from the speech of someone with a psychogenic disorder of the talkative type who was the object or resource person in this study. The location of this research is in the Curug sub-district, Serang-Banten sub-district. The data collection technique used is the listening method with the tapping technique which is the basic technique in the listening method. While advanced techniques in the form of note-taking techniques and recording techniques are used to help the method used.
