Abstract

The subject of this article is the Central Office of Measures (COM) and the structural and functional changes it underwent in 2022. This institution dates back more than 100 years. It is worth studying because it is an important element of public administration and civil service. The standard tasks of the COM are related to different units of measurement and their definitions, as well as the international measurement standards. The structural and functional changes analyzed in this article occurred in response to current technological advances. They involve expanding the COM scope, tasks, and funding opportunities for the Ph.D. research focused on implementation. The article also touches on future plans for 2022–2025, including investing in a modern laboratory.
