Abstract

The article discusses scientific, literary and cultural relations of Azerbaijan with Uzbekistan. Outstanding personalities as Ibn Sina, Kharazmi, Bukhari, Ulugbey are highly respected in Azerbaijan. The works by Nizami Ganjavi, Khagani, Nasimi and Mahammad Fuzuli have been published with large circulation.in Uzbekistan. Alisher Navoi's manuscripts are kept and studied at the Institute of Manuscripts named after Mahammad Fuzuli of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The Azerbaijani thinker Mirza Fatali Akhundzadeh continued the traditions of Hamza Hakimzadeh Niyazi in Uzbekistan. Molla Nasreddin magazine, published by Mammadguluzadeh, had a large number of readerships in Uzbekistan. There are creative relations between Azerbaijani and Uzbek writers and poets. These relations have expanded in the Independence period.
