Abstract

An ultrasonic bulk wave delay line oscillator is presented composed of a piezoelectric vibrator and an amplifier. The field effect of the oscillation frequency is explained in terms of the ultrasonic wave velocity change by higher order elastic effect which is generated with inner stress by piezoelectric effect. A stress coefficient K and a field coefficient K e 31 resulting from the higher order elastic effect are obtained as K=1030×10-6 MPa-1 and K e 31=1.77×10-3 cm/KV, respectively.
