Abstract
AbstractThe quantitative dependences between the emulsifier concentration in the emulsion water and the total surface area of the latex particles at the emulsion polymerization of vinyl chloride are investigated. From this it is possible to calculate the average volume/surface diameter. The exponent of emulsifier concentration in this relation reflects the variation of surface tension of the latex during the polymerization. This fact is due to the adsorption in time of the emulsifier on the surface of the latex particles.
