Abstract

The peculiarities of formation of basic competences of future teachers of educational course “Fundamentals of Health Care” in practice of national and world pedagogical science are analysed in the article. The structure and peculiarities of formation of health care competence are substantiated. The research-analytical, technological, or- ganizational and managerial competences of the teacher of educational course “Fundamentals of Health Care” are defined. The basic competences of future teachers of educational course “Fundamentals of Health Care” are the structurally classified complexes of the abilities of future health care teachers to apply knowledge, skills and person- ality qualities that serve as a standardized basis for reflecting the specifics and quality assurance of such teachers’ professional tasks and orient on lifelong learning. The basic competences of future teachers of educational course “Fundamentals of Health Care” consist of 4 groups of competences: standard (research-analytical, technological, organizational, managerial), information and communication, pedagogical and health care competences. Health care competences will mean: the ability to apply knowledge and skills of medical, pedagogical and psychological methods of influence to pedagogical staff and pupils; to provide pre-hospital care for sudden cardiovascular diseases and respiratory disorders; to implement medical aid during bleeding; to give medical aid during injuries of the mus- culoskeletal system; to prevent the spread of infectious diseases; to organize preliminary examination on conditions of HIV epidemic; to offer advice on healthy lifestyle; to perform general classical massage; to perform self-massage; to self-regulation. The peculiarities of future teachers’ basic competences formation via the course of “Fundamentals of Health Care” in the practice of national and world pedagogical science are analysed. It is determined that health care competence involves not only medical and healthy lifestyle information, but also the application of the acquired knowledge in practice, the possession of techniques for health strengthening and preventing of diseases. The prospects of further research lie in development of methodological recommendations for the formation of basic competences and future teachers of educational course “Fundamentals of Health Care”.
