Abstract

ABSTRACT Uranium analyses of sea, lake and spring water samples taken from different locations were carried out by a wet fission track method. The reliability of this method and several of its pitfalls are studied and discussed. The obtained results show a concentration ranging from 1.86 μg/1 in tab water up to 19 μg/1 in the salt lake water of Urmia, Iran.
