Abstract
ABSTRACTBranch cankers were detected on peach orchards in Puebla, Mexico. Based on morphology, cultural features and molecular analysis, the causal agent was identified as Pallidophorina paarla. Koch's postulates were fulfilled by pathogenicity tests carried out on peach trees. To our knowledge, this is the first report of P. paarla causing branch cankers of peach in Mexico.
