Abstract

A new treatment of the finite-range interaction in stripping reactions within the frame-work of the distorted-wave Born approximation (DWBA) is presented. By this method, the finite-range calculations for the differential cross section in deuteron stripping is expressed as a power series expansion that approaches the "exact" results with computer time comparable to that for zero-range calculations.
