Abstract

Non-oriented electrical steels exhibit considerable anisotropy and cannot be correctly modelled using a single permeability curve. A simple method was employed to account for anisotropy of two core materials in a single phase induction machine. Localised harmonic components of rotational flux density were affected by anisotropy of the materials.
