Abstract
The paper is on financial planning for children with special educational needs in cross river state. This paper work on financial planning in special needs education. The paper explained that individuals with special needs face a lot of financial challenges much more than those without disabilities. It covers long -term financial planning for a child with special needs in different ways to include Letter of Intent, hiring of an attorney to set up a special needs trust for a child with special need, creating a special needs trust, writing a will, naming or establishing a guardian, establishing a trustee, building a savings, plan for the child’s independence. Also discussed is to educate family members on the important of special needs trust for the child with special needs. The paper emphasized that services of special educators are highly needed to navigate the paper plan.
