Abstract

The relevance of the study is connected with a fundamentally new vision of the problem of the relationship between the festive and the ordinary – everyday in the modern cultural space, which is characterized by blurring the boundaries between festive and common, interpenetration of the festive in the everyday and vice versa. Exploring the modern cultural picture of the world, one can legitimately call it a festival, or rather, a hyper-festival. The purpose of the study is to reveal the specificity of the relationship and the discrepancy of the phenomena of the festivisation and carnivalization in the communicative cultural space. The methodology of the research. Key research methods are determined by dialectic, phenomenological and synergistic methods. It was determined that the holiday, being the alma mater, of all its varieties, including the carnival, reflects the specifics of modern culture as a whole, since such significant areas of human life as economics, politics, religion, sports today acquire features of entertainment, theatricality and festivity, which are reflected in the existence / functioning of phenomena relating to these areas. Analyzing the phenomena of festival and carnivalization, we use mechanisms for the manifestation of their principles and characteristics, as well as functioning. Conclusion . The correlation of the concepts of the festivisation – the carnivalization is correct within the framework of the problem of the general and the individual, where the first is the manifestation of the general, the latter – the individual. Carnival as a cultural and historical phenomenon appears as one of the most significant forms of the holidays, traditionally associated with ancient pagan rites. It was determined that the festivisation is a process of total celebration of modern culture, rather than carnivalization, as the carnival is only a kind of celebration, which in its key understanding keeps opposition to the official culture. Festivisation, on the other hand, appears as a modeling phenomenon that integrates political, informational, and spectacular forms, modifying in accordance with interests and transforming into a means to achieve them, while showing full readiness to play along with the directors of contemporary events.
