Abstract
Engineering subjects that are heavily theoretical may cause students to get bored and lose interest in engineering studies. This will not only make students sleepy but will also prevent them from comprehending the specifics of the subject matter. In view of this, various ways can be used to ensure the learning atmosphere is more effective and not boring, such as quizzes, game elements, interactive learning, and so on. Therefore, this paper is more likely to give feedback regarding the addition of game elements and quizzes in theory subjects. The addition of games and quizzes in the classroom makes learning activities more cheerful, and students are always eager to focus on learning. Among the game elements that can be applied are puzzle games, Kahoot, Jenga, and so on. This element of the game makes students more competitive in answering the questions asked in class and, at the same time, makes them quickly understand the theory learned in class. This paper describes students' responses to the elements of games and quizzes in theory subjects in class. The feedback process was carried out through questionnaires to get a view of student satisfaction and learning experience in the classroom, which included elements of games and quizzes. Inserting elements of games and quizzes in theoretical subjects provides benefits to students, such as learning faster, not feeling sleepy, and the class being more cheerful and easy to understand.
