Abstract

This article addresses the availability and use of common cereal grains fed to livestock. The utilization of these feedstuffs is primarily focused on ruminant animals. Because of the agronomic conditions for their production, ease of distribution, and the comparative low costs of energy provided by cereal grains, these grains and their corresponding by-products will remain as staple ingredients in ruminant diets.
