Abstract
The implementation of dual education in Ukraine is considered in this paper. This form of education is a significant step towards the reform of the system for training specialists to meet the current needs of the labor market, building their professional competencies and adapting to professional activities. The necessity of changing the didactic principles of professional training of higher education students for the purpose of ensuring the continuing education: “school-university-enterprise” chain is analyzed. This paper considers examples of world and national experience of cooperation between higher education institutions and employers in different forms of dual education.An example of such a program is the Academic Program of SAS – Analytics U Corporation, which includes free provision of software for educational purposes, cooperation with universities on the introduction of science-intensive technologies into educational activities, active promotion of training specialists in the field of mathematical modeling, applied mathematics, cybernetics, information technologies.It is very important to formulate the graduates with an understanding of trends and prospects for the development of the labor market, that is, a new consciousness focused on self-development, self-education and active promotion of self-employment. Of course, the dual learning offers a number of benefits to all the participants in the cooperation; however, its active introduction into the work of higher education institutions should be balanced, take into account not only its advantages, but also the disadvantages, taking into account the different experience of cooperation of educational institutions with employers, providing facilities for higher education institutions independently to choose forms and didactic methods of training, providing a competent approach in the process of training the intending specialists, especially engineering specialties.
