Abstract

The results of electrochemical dissolution of coatings based on the PS12NVK powder composition in a water solution of neutral salts of NaNO3, Na2SO4 and NaCl are presented in the paper. It is shown that the dissolution of the mentioned material in the chosen compositions of electrolytes occurs in an active state in the range of the anode potential from φ=0 V to φ=4,5 V. The dissolution character of this coating is determined by electrochemical dissolution of coating materials, namely nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co). It is revealed that an active dissolution of nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co) leads to an irregular electrochemical dissolution of the coating surface, which decreases the machining quality. The results of studying the surface roughness relationship between the material with the coating based on the powder composition PS12NVK and electro-diamond grinding modes are presented. It is found that a minimum surface roughness magnitude Ra=0.9 μm is obtained when the table longitudinal feed is 90 mm/min.
