Abstract
SummaryA series of rather unorthodox swelling experiments with the aid of a recently developed method proves the important influence of monomer droplets for polymer swelling under heterogeneous conditions. This assumption can be used consistently to explain former results of styrene emulsion polymerization in dependence on the stirring rate speed.
