Abstract

In the article the process of formation of agricultural land market is considered. The analysis of the place and value of agricultural land market to improve the efficiency of agricultural production, provide sustainable development and achieve food security of the country is made. Unlike other products land is a durable good, the quality and value of which in the case of rational use may increase. In this regard, in the article the main features of agricultural land market, which distinguish it from other products market are indicated. For the operation of agricultural land market the measures which provide an opportunity to realize a number of important social and economic processes in Ukraine are offered. Thus, land market is one of the factors that actively influence the rational land use. As a mechanism land market provides the turnover of lands and their transfer into the hands of more effective owners. The introduction of high-grade agricultural land market and its effective state regulation in Ukraine will ensure the implementation of a number of important issues today. In general we can say the following: international experience shows that to regulate land market is much more effective than to drive it "into shadow".
