Abstract
This paper involves the results of some preliminary analyses of the conceptual design of an advanced divertor plates system, alternative to the current high heat flux loaded divertor plasma facing components for ITER. In proposed concept the divertor targets are cooled by liquid metal (LM) which is compatible with the main ITER divertor water coolant. At the same time LM design option is compatible with the space envelope, thermal and mechanical interfaces as for the base ITER water cooled divertor option.
