Abstract
In this letter, a novel multiple-traces electric field/magnetic field integral equation (MT-EF/MFIE) method is developed for solving electromagnetic (EM) scattering from dielectric objects. Different from the traditional Poggio-Miller-Chang-Harrington-Wu-Tsai (PMCHWT) method, the nonconformal MT-EF/MFIE method can discretize the surface with two pairs of nonconformal meshes (exterior and interior). Meanwhile, the transmission conditions are enforced to ensure the continuity of currents, on the interface of the exterior domain and interior domain. Compared to the traditional PMCHWT method, this MT-EF/MFIE method leads to a better conditioned matrix and obviously interior memory and time consumption.
