Abstract
This article provides an analysis of the family and family values of the modern youth of Kazakhstan in the context of Abai's legacy. The philosophical analysis of the interaction between the family and modern society is also due to the fact that achieving a balanced relationship between the individual and society is unthinkable without the formation of stable value orientations in the public consciousness, the semantic core of which is laid in the family. Abai, putting forward his moral formula "Adam Bol!", developed for young people a whole code of ethical norms of friendship and camaraderie, love in marriage, duty and conscience, courage and beauty of human relations, etc. The article also shows the educational meanings and semantic features of the thinker's "words of edification" in the context of creating a family in modern society.
