tial seizures with auditory features, which were described as a radio or a motorcycle running noise or “as if there were people talking on TV something she could not understand.” These symptoms could be followed or accompanied by distorted vision: “people’s face became disfigured.” She has good seizure control with carbamazepine. Her routine electroencephalogram (EEG) was normal. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed enlargement of left lateral temporal lobe and absence of first and second temporal sulci, and abnormal shape and axis of hippocampus (Fig. 2).
