Abstract

Self-regulation is applied in many areas of a person's life and has a significant impact on his functioning and success. The study presents factors that contribute to its development. Executive functions and the relationship between self-regulation and emotional regulation are described, as well as the influence of a supportive social environment on the development of more complex skills and motivation for self-regulation. The results of relevant research, as well as educational and intervention strategies, are presented within the areas mentioned above.
