Abstract

This paper presents a study of the behavior of stiffened steel liner plate for nuclear containment structures when subjected to wet concrete loading during construction. The presentation is focused on the failure criterion of the liner plate. Such failure will depend on the wet concrete pour height and thickness, loading distribution, rate of concrete placement and the arrangement of the stiffener.
