Abstract

In this article three social psychology theories that allow to predict effectiveness of age diverse teams were presented shortly. Then a cycle of German studies that have identified factors influencing the relationship between age diversity and teams effectiveness were reviewed. The above factors were respectively discussed. They were: age saliance, age stereotypes, task complexity, age discrimination, appreciation of age diversity, ergonomic working conditions. Practical implications of the cycle of studies were presented.
