Abstract

Objective To study the expression of ADAM8 in non-small cell lung cancer and the rela-tionship with their clinical pathology. Methods The expression of ADAMS was detected by tissue microarray and immunohistechemmistry technology in 96 specimens of NSCLC tissues ,36 specimens of adjacent lung tissues and 12 specimens of benign lung tissues. Results The positive rate of ADAMS expression in NSCLC tissues, adjacent lung tissues and benign lung tissues were 82. 29% (79/96), 11.11% (4/36). 16. 67% (2/12), re-spectively ;There was a significant difference among NSCLC tissues, adjacent lung tissues and benign lung tissues (P 0. 05) ; ADAM8 protein expression in NSCLC tissues was closely related to TNM stages, lymph node metastasis and dis-tant metastasis (P 0. 05). Conclusion The overexpression of ADAMS in NSCLC patients indicates that ADAMS is closely related to TNM stages, invasion and metastasis of NSCLC. Detection of ADAM8 protein may be helpful to evaluate bio-logical characteristics for NSCLC. Key words: ADAMS ; Non-small cell lung cancer; Microarray; Immunohistochemistry
