Expression and clinical significance of RhoC protein in nonsmall cell lung cancer

Abstract

Objective To study the expression and clinical significance of RhoC protein in nonsmall cell lung cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of RhoC protein in NSCLC, follow up 35 patients. Results The expression of RhoC protein in NSCLC was significantly higher than in normal lung tissues (P<0.01) ,The positive rates of RhoC protein was correlated with histological grades, TNM stage and lymph node metastasis (P<0.05) ,and there was a higher long term survival on the lower expression of RhoC protein(P<0.5). Conclusions The expression of RhoC protein is correlated with infiltration and metastasis in NSCLC, RhoC protein can be used as a prognostic indicater for NSCLC.
