Abstract
ABSTRACT The study of panic attacks is especially relevant today because of the world’s rapid changes, which have always caused people to experience excessive stress and anxiety. The purpose was to thoroughly investigate and analyze the specific features of panic attacks to reveal their etiological context and identify the factors contributing to their occurrence. It was found that the main symptoms of a panic attack are panic, sudden outbursts of extreme anxiety or discomfort, and a variety of physical symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath, numbness, and dizziness. From an empirical study on panic attacks, personal and psychological traits of university students prone to panic attacks were identified, leading to the creation of a profile for individuals experiencing such episodes. The study is crucial as all theoretical findings and recommendations can aid psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and other specialists in raising awareness of panic attacks, improving diagnostic methods, and developing effective treatments.
