Abstract

In this paper, experimental verification of the loss reduction method on substrate integrated suspended line (SISL) platform is given. The strategy of reducing the total circuit loss, including the radiation loss, the conductor loss, and the dielectric loss based on SISL platform is given. The experimental verifications and comparisons have demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed loss reduction method. The implemented 3-dB SISL patch coupler has a total loss reduction of 87.5%, and the loss is much smaller as compared with the state of art.
