Abstract

The article presents the results of approbation of the author’s methods of formation of Olympic knowledge of
 students of the Faculty of Physical Culture of specialty 1-03 02 01 «Physical culture» EI «Francisk Skorina Gomel State
 University». The author’s method of forming the Olympic knowledge of students at the reproductive, productive and
 creative levels differs from the traditional application of a system of specially designed study assignments, that includes
 a description of the pedagogical goal, the means and methods of pedagogical work used, the content of study assignments,
 ways of motivation of students and success criteria. An important element of the technique is metrologically correct
 diagnostic tools for determining the level of formation of Olympic knowledge of students. As a result of testing it has been
 established that the author’s method in the course of the formative pedagogical experiment showed a higher efficiency
 than the traditional, which is proved by mathematical processing of results, demonstrated by students of experimental
 and control groups.
