Abstract

The paper presents the study on hybrid concrete by replacing various sustainable materials with different proportions in the concrete. In this work, the use of Alcofine1203 which is a mineral admixture and lightweight expanded clay aggregate (LECA) along with Fly ash has been carried out in varying percentages. The Alcofine1203 and Fly ash enhance the workability of the fresh concrete whereas lightweight aggregate reduces the self-weight of the structure. M35 grade of concrete was used for casting. Thus, to obtain the optimum percentage of the substitutes, a range of different percentages by weight of the different constituents was used, replacing it with cement as well as coarse aggregates. In all, a total of fifteen mixes were cast first with individual constituents and then mixing with other materials. Three specimen samples of the cube and two of the beams were cast and cured in the Normal Curing Tank as well as Accelerated Curing Tank. The Compressive and Flexure strength of the Cubes and the Beams were tested and analyzed. A strength change in modified concrete has been investigated in the study. In the study, we found that 10% Alccofine1203, 5% LECA, and 10% Fly ash have given the best results.
