Abstract

We investigate the electronic density of states of tin selenide by combining UV photoelectron spectroscopy and reflectivity measurements. In the UV photoelectron spectra, the contribution of valence and conduction bands are separated by varying the excitation energy hv. As a result of the reflectivity measurements, the ω 2ε 2 curve is interpreted in terms of joint density of states peaks. The samples are deposited under ultrahigh vacuum and studied in situ.
