Abstract

Existence of subsonic second slip waves propagating along an interface between two identical half-infinite anisotropic media is investigated using the Stroh sextic formalism. By examining the impedance tensor at various transonic states, we formulate an existence theorem for second slip waves. Numerical example is taken for a cubic material copper.
