Abstract

By using the generally projective Riccati equationmethod, more new exact travelling wave solutions to extendednonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE), which describes thefemtosecond pulse propagation in monomode optical fiber,are found, which include bright soliton solution, dark solitonsolution, new solitary waves, periodic solutions, and rationalsolutions. The finding of abundant solution structures forextended NLSE helps to study the movement rule of femtosecondpulse propagation in monomode optical fiber.
