Abstract
The low-energy emission structure of the Kbeta spectrum of the argon gas has been measured in fluorescence. The observed photon distribution has been discussed in terms of dipole-allowed K to M2 radiative Auger transitions. The integrated relative intensity of the distribution compares with the calculated relative shake-off intensity. The spectra also show evidence of configuration interaction between single- and double-hole configurations in the final state.
