Abstract

Objective To study the treatment of anterior permanent teeth with crown fractures.Methods 68 anterior permanent teeth of 56 children were collected in this investigation.10 teeth with enamel fractures only were treated by mehtod of blunting the sharp fracture edges.27 teeth with dentin fractures,but without pulp exposure,were protected by calcium hydroxide.31 teeth with dentin fractures and with pulp exposure were treated by partial pulpotomy.Results 10 enamel factured teeth had vital pulp after two years retrospect.The success rate of calcium hydroxide placement group was 81.4%,that of the partial pulpotemy was74.2%.Conclusion Different types of crown fractures should be treated by different methods.Pulpotomy is a successful treatment method for crown fractures with pulp exposure.
