Abstract
In this paper we had integrated wired and wireless network particularly MANET using stationary gateway through which mobile nodes can communicate with the wired nodes or we can say fixed nodes in internet. Gateways operate as a bridge between MANET and wired nodes. Due to the dynamic topology, routing in MANET becomes a challenging task. We had used modified AODV called AODV+ to support the communication of mobile devices with fixed devices The key protocols AODV and DSDV have been simulated in this network scenario and their performance has been compared on the basis of three performance metrics : packet delivery ratio, average end-to-end delay and average throughput.
