Abstract

There are a number of aspects of a psychosocial nature that limit the good performance of housekeepers at the Paradisus Princesa del Mar hotel, Varadero, Cuba. In correspondence, a study is developed to evaluate the psychosocial risks that affect the housekeepers in the mentioned hotel. In this research, the COPSOQ ISTAS 21 method was applied, which identifies and measures the psychosocial risk factors that are present in the activity carried out by these workers. It was obtained that the most affected subdimensions are: cognitive psychological demands, sensory psychological demands, control over work time, role conflict, reinforcement, possibilities of social relationship, job insecurity and double presence. An action plan was designed with 21 measures to improve the quality of working life in the studied area and to prevent psychosocial risks from affecting the work of hotel housekeepers.
