Abstract

The experimental data available for oxygen (p,p) elastic cross section have been briefly reviewed. Applicability of a theoretical approach for the proton elastic scattering cross sections evaluation has been demonstrated. Calculations were performed in frameworks of the optical model and S-matrix theory. Free model parameters were adjusted by fit to the available experimental data. The obtained results provide the evaluated differential cross sections for oxygen (p,p) elastic scattering throughout the energy region up to 4 MeV at any backward angle.
