Abstract
This case study explores DataPath Ltd., a Bangladeshi outsourcing company founded in 2008 by CEO Ashfaqur Rahman. The company is known for its expertise in data processing and technology integration and its vision to transition from traditional BPO to the next generation of services. The study provides insights into DataPath’s hierarchical management structure, production process, competitive positioning, sources of advantage, challenges, value creation, reverse outsourcing, and strategic initiatives. DataPath aims to leverage technological innovation, industry experience, employee-centric culture, and customer-focused approach to maintain a competitive edge. One area of outsourcing that holds significant potential is the concept of ‘reverse outsourcing’. Reverse outsourcing can foster innovation and creativity by bringing together diverse perspectives and approaches. Potential growth avenues include technological integration, service diversification, global expansion, talent development, strategic partnerships, and customer-centric strategies.
